THE ONLINE AND OFFLINE TOOL FOR TEACHERS IN TEACHING ACTIVITIES

To help teachers in building interactive and creative learning a tool is needed to support teaching and learning activities. There are so many tools that teachers find on the internet. The challenge of teachers out there is how to find easy to access tools that have some advantages in one tool. There are several useful tools to support teaching activities. In this article, I’ll show you seven.

1. Nearpod

This is an online tool that teachers can use to present the material without video. But, teachers can explain it using their voice in each slide presentation. Not only present the material in slide, but also teachers can add the quizzes in one presentation. The types of quiz questions can be multiple choices, essay, drag-drop, or oral answer through voice etc. then, teachers can see students' scores and their answers. It's a really nice tool.

 

2. Kahoot

This is one of the tools that teachers usually use for quizzes. This is a game-based learning platform. Teachers can either create their own quizzes or find quizzes. Created quizzes can be multiple choice or true and false. Kahoot does not involve students' accounts, so teachers just share pin games and students type the pin in the main screen and type their name for participants in that game.

 

3. Google Doc

This tool is an online tool that teachers use for writing skills. Teachers can share the link of the document to their students. So, they can write at the same time with all their friends. Furthermore, this tool is useful for knowing grammatical mistakes in writing a text. It also provides the correct grammar rules.

 

4. Canva

Canva is a tool to create posters, logos, graphics, presentations, etc. Canva is easy to use. If you don’t have a concept idea, you can use the template that you want. And then, you just drag and drop and edit text. Lastly, you can download in some format: picture or pdf.

 

5. Edpuzzle

This is a tool for creating interactive video with embedded audio notes, assessments, and quizzes. Teachers can control the students and students can rewatch the video. Students can also respond to written questions or quizzes.

 

6. Padlet

Padlet is a cloud-hosted online site to help teachers and students’ safety collaborate and distribute content in one environment. The main benefits of Padlet are its reliable mind-map tool, easy-to-use, and free online bulletin board solution. Padlet allows you to post interesting questions and content such as video, images, text, and documents.

 

7. Bandicam

This is a screen recorder application that is famous for being able to record high quality videos. It can be used for recording teachers in presenting the material before the class. After recording, teachers can save recording as a video file in AVI or MP4 format. Some of the most prominent features of Bandicam are the ability to choose and record certain areas or overall laptop screen.
